My Family Adventures at Orange Lake
Orange Lake, Florida is always a special place for me. My husband and I spent a week every October, along with some of our kids and their families. To me, no other vacation measured up to the times we spent there. Great family memories and shared fun come to mind whenever I daydream back to those times.
Our first vacation was spent in a villa and we were able to squeeze eight people in that place. Kids were younger and flexible so some of their beds were the floor area! Well, like they say, love and togetherness knows no limitations! We were closely knit and a little thing like accommodations really did not matter! We had fun!
Best of all, the back of our villa faced the golf course and with the gorgeous grounds and landscaping, it was a lovely place to have lunch. Big, colorful birds would stroll right onto the patio and we loved it. My son-in-law got up early and planned our days. I remember the first time we went to Disney, He had a map and guided us through the entire Magic Kingdom. We were tired by the end of the day, but Al made sure we saw everything! Thanks to my daughter’s great choice for her spouse!
Our Magic Kingdom Days
We took in every show, ride and attraction in one long day. We had the time of our lives! “It’s a Small World After All” is one ride we did twice because we were so fascinated with it. Back then, we even glimpsed at the past and a blink into the future with the Carousel of Progress. For me it was nostalgic, but for the kids it was a bit more intriguing glimpse of the past.
There are so many attractions in and around Orange Lake and you are in close proximity to all of them. Spending a week there can be a fun, educational and exciting vacation. Our vacation every year has my heart filled with so many memories. Each one had new treasures in store. You can never see it all in one visit, but year after year, we managed to take in new attractions, as well as old favorites.
