A Powerful Foundation
Leadership is a practical skill and the ability of a person to guide other people, teams or organizations! (The dictionary meaning is “leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal”) A Leader makes a conscious decision to coach their group in whatever way you want them to go! Are you a true leader? Do you want to be someone special? What do you stand for? A stand becomes a powerful guiding force. (Values that build character) Stand for justice, integrity and leadership.
Leadership is character more than skill
What are your committed beliefs? Your values are spirit, truth, wisdom and love! These qualities make you special. Basic values such as honor, courage and commitment to personal excellence are the core values for happiness, fulfillment and success. That is, IF you uphold them. It is one thing to claim your values, but in action, they must be upheld 100%. A true leader never sways from those values! They honor this commitment! True leaders command from the heart and are special.
They develop an ethical code that makes them both a good teammate and a good leader. When things go wrong, they look within themselves and seek to be a better person. True leaders know what they stand for and base all their decisions by their beliefs. Prepare your body, mind and spirit if you want history to be kind to you and most importantly, try to be more patient with everyone. Then work harder then anyone expects of you.
Leadership is a privilege, not a right.
As I am of Champion of living, I will protect myself, my family and my country and I will always seek the truth, wisdom and love. I will strive to improve myself every day in order to find happiness, but not by seeking wealth, thrills, fame or titles. Improving my team and my world is who I am. I remain consistent, in all these things and I am a good leader! I meditate every day to examine my morals, my beliefs and my character. When faced with difficulties, I stand on my beliefs and will not make choices that will cause me to stray. This is who I am, what I believe and any of my decisions are always based in these beliefs.
These exercises can help you be the best, empowered and more thoughtful version of yourself…
Training to be a True Leader
- Get your journal, sit comfortably, breathe deep and close your eyes for 5 to 10 minutes. Then think about these questions: What would I do if:
I had only one year to live?
A natural disaster struck my city?
I have plans, but my friend needs my help?
I have a chance for a large, but dishonest sum of $ without anyone finding out about it?
A friend is bashing another friend behind his back in my presence?
Think carefully about these questions! Your answers will tell so much about your character. If your friend asks you to help him move, and you answer “Sorry, I have plans,” that could indicate you are operating out of selfish needs rather than focusing on your friend’s need.
As you work through these questions, you’ll learn about your deeper self and identify areas where you need to improve. Your stand should suggest those character traits you want to embody, even if you aren’t 100% there. Training yourself to be a leader and the art of living responsibly is a process that takes daily practice.
