Our dreams motivate us to accomplish anything we want! What we want takes determination and hard work. Without dreams, our life is mediocre and we muddle through life just getting by. Such is a broke mind-set! Having learned that late in life, I realize that’s what my hubby and I had! Read this story and how I changed my life. Then change yours!
Dreaming Bigger Begins with Your Attitude
Our attitudes were always positive and we were happy and content. However, in our thinking we scurried to be a step ahead of our bills. Our six kids faired well in their vocations and those that chose college, paid their own way. It was not a good feeling knowing your kids could not depend on your financial assistance. Reminding myself of my prayer on our wedding day – was to ‘please give us six kids’. But, OOPS. I forgot to ask for the means to care for them. Be careful what you pray for! Your request is always granted but think it through before requesting only half of what you want. Like an idiot, no money to provide for six kids. than me!
Thirty-six years of our marriage my handicapped husband did everything and anything, as if he were superman. Suddenly one day, he fell from a ladder and broke his already bad leg and became permanently disabled. As a result, I became the family’s sole support for a number of years.
After six months of several surgeries and intense open wound care, he healed enough to function independently. That freed me to hold a second job, plus my part-time Mary Kay business. After 20 years of remaining productive at home, his condition spiraled downhill and I became his caregiver. Life was happy, but never easy. Pensions and 401s were not available to us in our jobs and we lagged in retirement savings. We saved a bit every payday, but the unexpected always ate our savings. And six kids required dental and medical care as well as their necessities.
Dreaming Bigger is a Choice
My youngest daughter taught me “Life is about Choices” and your choices determine how successful you are. She knows what she is talking about because she and her husband built a lucrative lifestyle while raising a beautiful family of 5.
My Husband and Best Friend emotionally supported me in everything I wanted to do. He was my cheerleader and always listened. His encouraging positives like “you can do it;” “you have the skills;” “you accomplish whatever you set out to do;” “you are a hard worker;” were his encouraging words that kept me moving forward. Oh, how much I miss him!
He was right and I was successful in my part-time Mary Kay Business. All my sisters and even two of my brothers were regular customers. My one brother would say every time we were together. “Ok kid, whatcha got new?” Didn’t matter to him what it was, he bought it. His wife and kids got those gifts every week. He saw his son’s and his daughter’s teenage problem skin develop into radiant beautiful, unblemished skin. That was the reason that my brother was my biggest word-of-mouth advertiser.
So Why Do Some Struggle with Dreaming Bigger?
One answer is lack of support. Before my husband passed, we both had a great network of friends. Every one of our childhood to grown-up friends were very supportive. We, in turn supported them however they needed us. These people knew us well and believed in us. They were the same ones that could offer us advice, their skills, knowledge and patronage. Friends who always were quick to encourage us and celebrate our successes. We were always in a give and take mode for each other.
These same folks gave us reminders that in order to succeed, we must fail our way to success. Family and Friends knew us growing up. They knew who we were and how we thought as well as our character and integrity. We were not quitters. ever! I will not change to become one now.
Since my husband passed on, I left my hometown to live with my eldest daughter. I do have friends here, but I left behind my lifelong friends. I miss them so much every day. No one can replace family or lifelong friends. My two large families – hubby’s and mine – of brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law have all passed on. They, too, were a major part of our life. We got together every week and had fun together. They are all irreplaceable.
Dreaming Bigger is Tough without support
Lack of support is often the downfall of many who are on their journey to success. Often, the people who you expect to be your biggest supporters are the ones who hold you back. They are the same ones who give you the most negative responses about the things you want to accomplish. Sad, but true.
However, there really isn’t anything you can do about it except to prove them wrong. It definitely hurts and often makes you depressed, disappointed and frustrated. But never allow them to change your goals or keep you from what you set out to do. I have never been a quitter. Don’t you be one either, no matter who tries to discourage you. I had a long bumpy life, but I remain as positive as I continue doing what I need to do to reach my dreams. You can do it too!
Successful people are the ones that keep going and never quit. No one convinces them they are in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing. Believe in what you are doing no matter how large or small your support team may be. Learning that every failure is a lesson in what to avoid in the future. Keep the lesson and throw away the experience.
Dream Bigger and Fail Your Way to Success
Every successful person had to fail over and over to reach success. They put in the effort, determination and drive to work harder. They do not permit negatives to sidetrack them from their journey. Success stories are from those who follow certain rules. Most important one is Keep Working towards your goal! Thomas Edison gets the prize for failures! It took him over 1,000 failures until he finally succeeded with the invention of the light bulb. He said he learned 1,000 ways it would not work before he found the one that did work!
Here I am running my Online Business in my Golden Years! I will keep going until my success is more than I can handle. Is it possible to reach more success than one can handle? I’m not sure, but I’m sure I will find out soon enough. My pleasure is working with a Community of very special people. People who befriend, help, encourage and support you daily. For me, it helps fill in for the two families I lost. Staying strong willed and consistent is what I know and love. I am successful! Slower than I used to be, but determined and consistent in spite of every failure to get here.
Weak people are influenced by all the negatives fed to them by others. They do not believe in themselves strongly enough to keep going. They have the broke-mindset and will not succeed unless they transform their thinking. For them, it’s time to think bigger and work for that dream consistently. Let me be your model. Are you a quitter or a winner?
Don’t Waste Your Time or Energy
Time can be a problem! We all have 24-hours in a day and we choose to use that time or not to decide our successful outcome. Our parents taught us that Idle time is the devil’s workshop. If you are idle, you cannot succeed or fail. You are content doing nothing to improve your life. Time wasted is never recouped. I value my time. Do You?
We all need time to relax and spend with our loved ones. Yes, enjoy your family. We also need time to Reset, Refocus and Recommit to our goals. It is imperative to set priorities and focus on avoiding idle time. Relax when you need it. Then, get back to work to reach your dreams and goals. Consistency not Youth is the secret!
Dream Bigger and Be Successful
Dream Big! Not too small! Don’t set limits on your success, but do strive to take one step at a time. When your ultimate dream is visualized in baby steps, it is definitely most possible. It is better than expectations that are too high and frustrates us into giving up. Quitting is a precursor to failure. You cannot succeed at anything by quitting. Figure out how many baby steps it will take to reach your goals in little pieces. Eat the elephant One Bite at a Time! Set each step as a goal to do in a limited timeframe. Then stick to your schedule. Celebrate each successful step. Setting Time limits for each step is a must to keep progressing to your ultimate dream. Focus, be consistent and success is definitely yours!
Keep long range goals in front of you at all times. But success unfolds in accomplishing short-range goals. Failures are lessons learned. Keep those lessons. Throw away the experiences. Then try again. Your journey is only as long as your dream is big. Keep reasonable expectations, but just keep moving forward. Life happens and causes setbacks. Expect the unexpected. No plan is foolproof all the time. Every small accomplishment is a celebration and must drive you to stay in motion and continue on. Never stop when you lose a few hours, a day or even longer. Just dive back in and Reset, Refocus, and Recommit. Lost time is not a license to lose motivation. Overcome the obstacles with a positive attitude and remind yourself that it is just a bump along your journey.
Dreaming Bigger on Your Journey to Success
Your journey to Success is paved with both the physical work and the mind set. God gave us all we need. He gave us our brain and technology. He does not do the work for us. We have to do the work. God expects us to utilize all our talents and tools and get the job done. Whether it takes you longer than your peers, is not your concern. Just keep using all the amazing God-given Gifts and Tools. Then nothing can stop you from achieving whatever you want.
Dream Big because God wants us to prosper big! If our time is up before we reach our Bigger Dream, you still will have reached your smaller goals in baby steps. Your work is never wasted because you can leave your efforts as a legacy for a spouse, son, daughter or grandchild to carry on your work. Your Mentor will be happy to help them succeed too.
Don’t Let Finances Hurt Your Dreaming Bigger
Finances are sometimes the biggest hindrance to reaching our Dreams. Broke-minded persons are the ones that live paycheck to paycheck. Often they do not save. Sometimes they think they can only save large amounts. They forget that pennies add up to dollars. Small amounts grow with every penny or dollar added. Remember the old saying “A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned”.
Consistency in saving even small amounts is another secret to wealth. Millionaires knew this when they were paupers. Their “nest egg” was a pittance long before they acquired their wealth. Their road was paved with sparsity and failures. By accepting failure and staying their course…well, you know the rest. Will you follow their lead or give up without even starting?!? Broke-minded persons are skeptical about investing even a few dollars in themselves. They want something for nothing when they get an opportunity. You cannot become successful by waiting for someone to give you anything more than the ‘opportunity’. Recognize your chance to build your success! Grab your chance and run with it! Remember, it is all up to what YOU DO or DO NOT DO!
Financial Success comes to those who want it, believe in it and work for it. You not only have to invest in yourself and your belief system, but also invest in your dream. Yes, you are going to pinch, scrape and deny yourself now, but it is all worth the future you are building. You will never see a return on Nothing. Act Now and your dreams will follow!
Confidence to Dream Bigger
Confidence in yourself means you try regardless of how afraid you might be. Everyone is scared when they try something new. Even millionaires are leery when they make an investment. They are aware of the risk of losing everything. However, the rich get richer by taking risks. The poor get poorer by avoiding all risks! Is fear stifling you? Confidence in your ability and Trust in our Mentors leaves nothing to chance! If you don’t start, you can’t finish! That’s the difference between abundant mindset starters and broke-mindset non-starters! I will never again have a broke mindset!
So, swallow your fear and act! That’s what I did! Try it! I never looked back. Just forward! The worst that can happen is you are much better off than if you did not try! The best that can happen is you are an amazing success! Do what Rory does to get what Rory gets! He does exactly what he teaches us to do. Or do what you do now to stay where you are for another 5 – 10 years! Life is about Choices and the Choice is Yours as it was mine! Pave your way to Financial and Time Freedom – OR – Stay in your place and never change! I’m not staying in my same place! I keep going step by step and progressing on to my biggest dream. I am both a dreamer and a worker!
Drive and determination
You get 3 positives out of thirty negatives according to the Law of Averages! So get those first 30 negatives out of your way and start reaping your positives. The Law of Averages is true and always working. It works for me and it will work for you! Work consistently and reap your success! In every failure keep that lesson and throw away that experience. I cannot repeat that enough! When you do this, you get better and better and keep getting step-by-step successes. Success comes one bite at a time. The more failures and NOs you get under your belt, “the faster you reach success.” If you can go faster, do it. If not, Be steadily Consistent every day. Remember, Eat the elephant ONE bite at a time!
Do you know what drives or motivates you? Are you a determined person? Are you strong or weak? Dig deep inside yourself and answer these questions honestly. See if you can stand up to any adversity or weather any trials coming your way. If you are weak, you stop on a dime. That leads to failure and often quitting. Work when the going gets tough and you will have the freedom to relax when your path is smooth.
Everyone has one thing that drives them. Find what it is for you that will keep you on your path no matter what comes your way! Then build on it to gain success. You will definitely find it, if you want success bad enough. Your core values will help you find the strength, drive and determination to get you going. Dreaming Bigger is Possible at Every Age
My goals are many but broken in baby steps, I see how possible this is. I have some debts to still dissolve. While that is happening, I have some favorite charities that I remember every step of the way. Students for Life, Wounded Warriors, St. Terese’s Mission and the Miraculous Medal Mission. These four are very dear to my heart. Ultimately, I dream to be a philanthropist to all four. Our single Senior students are also on my list. They especially need a guardian angel on their shoulder. These goals are my Biggest dream!
Rory has an IBO program for students under retirement age that gives them a hefty chunk of change to help them get into our anchors. Best of all, it does not cost them anything but time. My biggest dream is to do something similar for our widowed Seniors who are too old to qualify for IBO. They will reap some of my success also. I am not sure how I will set this up, but Rory’s legal team can help figure it out. I can relate to those that lost their spouses. They are also close to my heart.
Rory’s system has proven so successful that he knows he can teach anyone coming on board to imitate everything he does to get what he gets. Reaching your goals and dreams takes time, sweat and lots of hard work, but It can be done very soon by everyone – faster or slower.

I was already a few months from my 81st birthday when I joined this community and did absolutely nothing for an entire year. Then, when I started working, the first thing I learned is that 35 years in the computer field (before the internet was invented) did not help me. I discovered a whole new Internet world that I knew nothing about.
When you don’t know what you don’t know, you can tangle up in a web that takes a good mentor to untie the knots. Many students here are not tech-savvy! But, we all have great mentors in this community! My fantastic mentor is Donna Walker Meyer and she picked me up after my first two instructors took sick. My grandson helps me untangle the web too because he loves computers. He is majoring in computer science in college! Although he is always willing to help, his classes and his apprentice position limit his availability. My grandson, John is positioned to inherit my website. Hopefully, he treasures the opportunity because his knowledge and youth will soar him to quick ongoing success! His Choice!
Stay Positive – Grow, Develop, and Be Willing to Change!
In spite of being in my Golden Years and even without Internet skills, I realize my dreams with Rory. I know I will reach all of them in whatever time the Good Lord gives me. Right now my goals keep getting bigger. As I achieve each goal, I go to the next one. Slow and steady works, but Fast and Furious is a Charm! If you are still in your fast and furious days, get in, get it done as fast as you can! You can be our next Millionaire!! Our young students often soar in their first few weeks, but we all have the same chance. Set your pace and be consistent! Like the turtle and the hare, turtles will reap success too in their step-by-step trek and win! The hares will wonder where they came from!
For years I subscribed to Norman Vincent Peal’s “Power of Positive Thinking!” Zig Ziglar and Tony Robbins often gave our Mary Kay Consultants’ Conferences. Oh, the inspiration from those three powerhouses! I now have to remind myself of all the positivity I absorbed. These days, I see new students here soaring to success in two weeks! It reinforces my own belief system. I flew through everything I did in life and was very good at all of it. But, I was younger and faster a short time ago. This is now!
Try the Impossible And Make It Possible
The Golden Years “Fairy” has fun playing mischievous tricks on seasoned folks like me! If you are a Senior joining us, come in the back door so she doesn’t get her fun and games at your expense. I probably forgot to take my brain food serum one day!! That’s the only way I could be vulnerable to her tricks! I’m keeping her at a distance and you should too. The Good Lord knows I have a mission to complete here. God brought me to this great community for a reason! He wants me to fulfill all my dreams! God wants me and everyone else here to prosper!
