Capitalism vs. Socialism. … Capitalism means freedom of consumers choice and hails economic growth and freedom. Socialism is an authority of the state that controls you by planning what you can and cannot do according to their wishes. It is their major authority that permits more social welfare programs. At the same time the state controls all business profits and operations preventing owners from having any say in their own business. The state is the sole authority over its citizens. The state also has more social welfare programs to keep their citizens controlled by its own discretion.
Economies With Capitalism, are without state interference. Economies are market-driven and the market forces shape our society and lives. Citizens have the freedom to earn a living according to their own efforts to work hard and steady. The ones that do can obtain whatever prosperity they wish to achieve through their own dedication in whatever vocation they choose.
Capitalism drives Economies
The people that make good choices do much better than those without initiative or motivation. Some people have much more motivation than those that are complacent and get ahead much faster. All types are needed. Laborers are necessary to engineer and create the work necessary to invent, build and maintain our infrastructure and of course, all our utilities. These are the ones leading the rest of the population in all critical directions.
A Capitalist society benefits all their society neighbors. They make or have products or services that society needs and wants. They can earn by selling their services or wares for a price. Their peers supply other services or products that in return, they can sell to others in society. This exchange method has worked for mankind for years since they were bartering with exchanges. This Capitalist society served mankind as the best way for mankind to co-exist and earn a living.
Capitalism Economies thrive
Time proves that it was the best way for all society members to survive and share talents. In today’s world, a Capitalist society works on supply and demand and supplies are plentiful when the demand increases. Capitalists invented the monetary system to use instead of bartering. Now a monetary price for a product or service is what they charge and a peer pays for his product or service with this required exchange.
Wages from work are used as payments and the monetary exchange benefits everyone because they can buy what they need or want in products and services through the monetary exchange. In this way, Society keeps running as people can freely decide what they want and need in products and services through the use of this monetary exchange. Through this method, a society flourishes and people are happier when they can make their own decisions about their own needs and wants according to each person’s desire to work, earn and pay. Neighbors care for neighbors in a Capitalist Society for those who are physically unable to work. A disability fund that everyone contributes to provides for them. The funds we contribute are divided according to their individual needs. Some on disability can work a little, but others can work much more, and the funds are distributed accordingly.
Success depends on Choices
The United States is a Capitalist Society and some people with more advantages such as a college education or trade school mostly earn a lot more than other jobs. Our governing committees are responsible to set what they believe is a living wage so that all workers can support themselves. In this way, no one is left in poverty. As a Capitalist society, such as the US, it is necessary to make sure jobs are available in order to keep every physically-abled person working. They are expected to be paid a living wage so they can provide their own shelter and the necessities of life.
Remarkably, those who use initiative, have motivation and uses their work ethic can increase their income substantially with their efforts. There are no limits put on them. It is solely dependent on their own work efforts. A true Capitalist society patronizes and supports their inventors and workers as they step into entrepreneurship! Therefore, everyone benefits from a Capitalist society. The full result is a booming economy that makes the entire Capitalist society prosper greatly.
Capitalism vs.Socialism
Socialism means that the state definitely owns businesses and services and dictates their operations. Many countries have a combination of two economies. Most of the time, they struggle between the extremes of both capitalism and socialism. **** Socialism is an economic and political system that means productions are publicly owned. Production and consumer prices are under the authority of the government to best meet the needs of the people. It sounds great as stated, but human greed has never failed to prosper at the expense of their population. Capitalism is an economic system under which the means of production are private ownership and privately stimulated. Capitalist governments only step in when their citizenship is in an emergency situation and urgent or immediate help is necessary.
Capitalists often fall into Socialist Traps
Oftentimes, a Capitalist society falls into a socialist trap of handouts and need occasional audits to prevent fraud. In the United States, we have welfare programs, food stamps and other social programs to temporarily help our needy.
However, it has limits to the time when they can work and become a productive citizen. In a Capitalist society, a social program should not be permanent for a temporary situation. However, for permanent situations, a permanent solution is also necessary. Capitalists do not want their peers left behind or poverty-stricken.
Capitalism Taxes for Senior Pensions & Healthcare
In the United States, our Capitalist government passed taxes for a person’s working years to allow for pensions and health care as workers age. Social Security was one such tax and the initial pension plan in our country and Medicare was the Healthcare for our retired elderly.
These taxes were payroll deductions along with Federal, State and Municipal deductions from all wages throughout a worker’s life. The government promised to pay back these funds once a person reached 65 and retired. However, if a person died before collecting, there were no refunds. These monies were part of the fund and invested with the bulk.
Congress Steals Senior Funds
Thinking the fund would never deplete so long as the new younger workers kept contributing during their working lives and so on and so on. When the fund was set up, it was unconscionable that our own government would steal the funds!
Those dollars were investments along with the bulk to secure the funds would never run out. Our seniors had a living wage and healthcare without depending on their children for support as was the custom in previous years. That began independent retirement living for Grandmas and Grandpas in the US.
List of Socialist States In Wikipedia
There is a sudden and enthusiastic discussion on the left and the right concerning the ghost of socialism in America. Gallup now claims many very liberal Democrats view socialism in a more positive light than capitalism. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, became an instant political star after she clinched the Democratic Party’s nomination for the New York 14th District’s House seat.
Today’s Millenials, graduates of our colleges in recent years are products of what our liberal professors serve as history! Sad to say, they are the most vulnerable to the Democratic servings of socialism. Country after country proves time and again that Socialism only works a very short time! Then the greed of authority exercises complete control of all resources. Results prove populations are helpless.
Many conservatives, brought up believing, “Better dead than red,” are now in a dilemma. In a raging exchange on The View, Meghan McCain cautioned every one of the dangers of going to socialism! She stated that people are starving to death in Venezuela since they traded their freedoms for Socialism.
Kevin Williamson in National Review
Kevin Williamson in National Review shows offers a more guarded and enlightening position. His viewpoint is that socialism encompassed by the rise of Ocasio-Cortez is just “words about words” with little to no definite meaning, except to get people to agree with her.
Ocasio offers no solutions to anything and does what brings her the most attention. She neither lives, acts or thinks the way she tells others they must and for no good reasons. However, she does occasionally characterize an original idea but it never makes sense. Ocasio Cortez, my friends is the kind of product coming out of our colleges in the recent past and still today and beyond. Indoctrination rather than Education is the mission of many of our present-day colleges!
If our multiplex system is failing many of us, it is not because of our “capitalist” or “socialist” components or to the fact that the system is mixed rather than one or the other. The real debate, as Williamson goes on to suggest, concerns the structure, balance, and integration of the elements that make up our political economy.
